Is Software Engineering Depressing. You have my sympathy, since during my long software career, i found my work and overall situation depressing at times too. I've been a software engineer for 3 years now, and have hated almost every day of it.
People have committed suicide yet others do no understand and blame the person for it. As we know, engineering, that being hardware engineering, software engineering or whatever, it's all about problem solving that often requires above average iq, say starting at 110. I just switched companies, hoping the new position would feel better, but after settling in i realize i'm just as unhappy.
